Part 2 of The Annals of Holden Secretbees was started upon completion of Part 1, sometime around early 2013. However, the part was nearly left unfinished. The authors felt that their writing method wasn't creating a complete story. So, they cheated and read the first half. Surprisingly, they found it to be even better than the first, and writing resumed.
Part 2 follows Holden as he attempts to stop an alien invasion of Earth, but the plot quickly spirals out from there. Though far more free flowing and indirect than future parts, Part 2 played an important role in establishing the series direction.
